How to be a Good Singer

     We can't deny that Music is one of the best ways to kill boredom or even sadness. Sometimes singing is the easiest way to do, because singing needs vocal, and vocal is the cheapest, easiest, and the most simple instrument that we have since we were born. We usually singing all the time and anywhere we want, and some people has singing as their hobbies to spend their time.

     But, some people has been singing as their major. A career to looking some money and experience as a singer. To be a singer is not enough if you just have a good voice. As a singer, there's some point that you have had to be concerned.

A. Learn Musical Instruments, at least 1 Instrument

     To be a singer, you have to know music itself. Hear a lot of music isn't enough. Learning musical instruments make your ears familiar with music. When you play an instrument, the sounds of the instrument forced you to analyze the sense of the tone and it'll be save in your brain. You will improve your Solfege (music notation) level automatically. It would be nice if your learn Piano as your instrument, because vocal practice is more easy with piano. 

B. Practice a Song as many as you can and make a Song List

     As a singer, practice a lot of song is one of important things to be a singer. The more you practice, the more you prepared. Memorized lyrics as many as you can, it'll help your performance. It is more nicer if you also practice with your instrument. Target a song that you want to practice, and make a list to schedule your practice. And, no less important, try to practice to cover a song.

C. Look for Gig Schedule and Show Off

     Look for a gig schedule will improve you as a singer. The more often you perform, the more you improved your performance skill. You, your body, your mind, will get used to show and sing in front of people. What i mean "Show Off" is not that you have to be cocky with yourself, but you have show yourself as a singer. Nervous before sing it's a common thing that you have to face it continuously.

D. Expand your Network

     To open a bigger gate, you have to expand your networking. Make a lot of friends is a gold ticket in music industry world. You need to have a good channel to market yourself. And don't forget to keep your both eyes open.

E. Try to Learn Many Genres

     It is more advantageous if you learn many genres, because you'll learn the differences among music genres and it can improve your performance on singing. It doesn't matter if you want to roll in specific genres, but it'll helpful and worth it to do.

F. Learn from Mistakes and Fix It

     It is also more advantageous if you always record your performance on video with your camera. Because you can always look your mistakes on it. Try to fix it and set your mind to better next time.

G. Keep Develop Yourself

     Practice more and more. Practice your diaphragm everyday. Always do vocal warm up before you sing or even practice. Do Vocalizing often and practice a lot of song, again.

     As we know, something happened if we willing to do it. Be a musician is about commitment. A ways is just a ways, but we choose our option by ourselves. Don't just be a singer, be a good singer! We have to develop ourselves to the next step. As a singer, if you want reach your dream, just sing it!
